Biggest Social Media and Influencer trends This Quarter
We’re a few months into 2025, and the social and influencer landscape continues to shift fast. While some trends we predicted are gaining even more momentum, new patterns and behaviors are emerging just as quickly. In this quarterly update, we highlight the most important developments brands should keep an eye on right now. From evolving creator formats to surprising shifts in platform engagement, here are some our highlights:Â
Trend 1: AI Is Going Mainstream But Creativity Wins
AI-generated content is becoming a regular part of our feeds whether we like it or not. We’ll be seeing more AI content in advertising assets, replacing parts of UGC and product assets. At the same time, AI influencers are gaining reach and engagement. But, as AI becomes more common in our feeds, human creativity and genuine voices will only grow in value.
Trend 2: Diversification of Platforms in Influencer Campaigns
Platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Snapchat are gaining momentum and we see more influencer collabs happening on these platforms. Brands are also breaking into new audience spaces. From food brands collaborating with streamers to beauty brands like E.L.F launching its own Twitch channel. The influencer landscape is becoming more layered, creative, and cross-vertical than ever.
Trend 3: Social Commerce on the Rise
With TikTok Shop expanding to new markets, social commerce is gaining serious ground and it’s here to stay. While great business cases with TikTok shop are available, creator participation remains limited. Will more influencers embrace the shift once TikTok Shop scales further? We’re watching closely.
